Vice President, Chief Information Officer & Chief Digital Officer
Sri Valleru currently serves as vice president, chief information officer and chief digital officer. In this role, he is responsible for both information technology and digital operations technology across the Company, including rig controls and automation, as well as research and development.
In 2018, Nabors was named the Editor’s Choice and as one of the top 20 most promising oil & gas technology solution providers by CIOReview Magazine, which featured an in-depth interview with Valleru as part of the June 2018 issue.
Valleru assumed the role of vice president and chief information officer in 2000. As such, he provided oversight for the strategic direction and development of the Company’s telecommunications and information technology systems and business processes as well as facilities and office services. During 2017, Valleru also served as chief procurement officer on an interim basis.
Under Valleru’s leadership, Nabors launched multiple products, including MyWells.com® and myNabors.com portals, and implemented ERP systems. Valleru has been instrumental in leading several significant mergers, divestitures and integrations during his tenure.
He began his career as a software engineer at CAPE International, a company in which he held an equity position. Valleru was named vice president of technology and development following Nabors’ acquisition of CAPE in 1997.
Valleru holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Nagarjuna University in India.
