Senior Vice President, Western Hemisphere Operations
Since January 2019, Edgar Rincon has served as Nabors’ Senior Vice President of Operations for the Western Hemisphere. In this position, he is responsible for the overall performance of a business that has more than 150 active drilling rigs and generates revenues in excess of $1.6 billion from seven countries. Before taking this role, Edgar worked as Senior Vice President of Operations for the US. Previously, Edgar served as Chief Procurement Officer and Vice President of Supply Chain.
Prior to joining Nabors, he spent six years at Pacific Drilling in various leadership positions with increasing responsibilities. There he served as VP of Procurement and Supply Chain, VP Commercial, VP Operations Support and Sr. VP Corporate Services.
Edgar began his career at McKinsey & Company. During his approximately 10 years at McKinsey, he held various positions in Houston and Caracas. He was affiliated to the Petroleum Practice in Houston and was a member of the Energy and Materials leadership group for the Andean Community region. During his time at McKinsey Edgar worked as advisor for multi-national oil companies and national oil companies on issues related to finance, strategy, organization and operations.
Edgar holds an MBA with distinction from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Simón Bolívar.
