Nabors Industries, Ltd.
Health, Safety and Environment
The safety of employees, clients and the public is paramount in all facets of Ryan's operation. The company has developed and implemented formal safety policies and procedures into all of its operations that are in compliance with the health, safety and environment legislation applicable to each region that it works. Ryan has also implemented a Service Quality Initiative aimed at the continuous improvement of Ryan's services, training and operations.

Ryan's continued commitment to safety is evident in the minimal lost-time accident record that has been reported throughout its operation over the past ten years. Ensuring the company maintains as high a safety rating as possible during its continued growth, Ryan continually assesses its policies and procedures while improving and updating all elements of the company's Health and Safety Program.

During 2000, Ryan established a Health, Safety and Environment ("HS&E") committee comprised of line managers from all business units within the company. The purpose of this committee is to be proactive in identifying, assessing and rectifying HS&E issues. Ryan believes a constant and consistent review of operational activities is the best way to ensure the mitigation of potential hazards in the most reasonable time frame.
